Rachael Ellison, MA

REworking Parents is the brainchild of Rachael Ellison, MA. Rachael is a coach and organizational development consultant. She helps people and organizations find creativity and productivity and guides them toward getting the right mixture of both.

She completed her advanced degree in Social and Organizational Psychology and Conflict Resolution at Columbia University. She gained invaluable training and experience in organizational change management, group dynamics, social intelligence, appreciative inquiry, executive and personal coaching. When she’s not coaching, consulting or mediating, she’s working with her two favorite people-her husband and daughter-on living a happy family life.

Even before Sonja was born in September 2009, Rachael was committed to balancing the personal and professional. She co-authored an internationally distributed paper on work life best practices: “Better Work, Better Life.” The paper launched a campaign to improve work life practices in 100 non profit organizations. Through this and other projects she has become adept at coaching individuals and shaping organizational policies to encourage flexibility, productivity and innovation.

Rachael’s experience spans the non-profit world and the private sector. She’s worked as a fundraiser, researcher and counselor and had a stint as a roadie on a  Arab-Israeli Coexistence Hip Hop tour. After living in many diverse professional worlds, she started her own business doing what she loves: helping others achieve balance and satisfaction in their lives.
